Industrial/Organizational Psychology – Wayne State University. As part of the University’s initiative to enhance existing programs of excellence, the Industrial/Organizational program in the Department of Psychology invites applications for a new faculty appointment. Successful candidates will be expected to develop an independent, externally funded research program that complements and interacts with existing strengths in the department. Applicants must have a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education. Research in all areas of Industrial/Organizational psychology will be considered; however, ideally, the candidate would have research interests that would stimulate collaborations with other research areas of the department. We also have a particular interest in applicants who are able to contribute to organizational psychology and can teach courses such as motivation, leadership, and organizational development. Our doctoral program actively prepares students for both applied and academic careers, and the ideal candidate would thus be able to effectively advise doctoral students pursuing either track, and would be able to work with our in-house consulting/applied research organization (www.aporg.org).
