The Department of Psychology at Saint Joseph’s University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Social Psychology. Candidates with expertise in any of the subfields of social psychology are encouraged to apply. This includes Industrial / Organizational psychologists, and social neuroscientists. The psychology department supports an I/O minor and is closely affiliated with the neuroscience major. Faculty at Saint Joseph’s University teach 3 courses per semester and are expected to develop a program of research. Faculty maintain active research laboratories, with expectations for research productivity commensurate with the stated teaching load. An ideal candidate will be able to teach the following undergraduate courses: Social Psychology, Multicultural Psychology, and advanced/specialty topic or research-based courses. The successful applicant will join an active, collegial department with researchers representing many of the subfields of psychology. Qualifications/Duties: Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology by the start of employment. In addition, the candidate should have a record of peer-reviewed publications involving empirical or theoretical research in social psychology, as well as teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Besides teaching and research, faculty members are expected to advise undergraduate students and engage in service to the department and university.
