The School of Psychology at Xavier University seeks an Assistant Professor in Clinical or Counseling Psychology for a tenure-track position. Our faculty teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and typically have a 3/3 teaching load. Additional activities include establishing an independent research program, research mentoring at the graduate and undergraduate levels including supervision of empirical Psy.D. dissertations, service within the School of Psychology, and providing clinical supervision to Psy.D. students. The position is to replace a retiring faculty and we invite clinical and counseling psychologists of various theoretical orientations and areas of expertise to apply. We are particularly interested in applicants who view themselves as scientist-practitioners, in terms of valuing balance across domains, and those who can contribute to the School of Psychology in any of the following ways: Advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; Teaching research methods courses at the undergraduate level; Possessing expertise in substance use, abuse, and addiction; Possessing expertise in eating disorders. In addition to describing their professional expertise, applicants are encouraged to articulate how their lived experience would contribute to a diverse and multicultural community within the School of Psychology.
