The Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) is accepting applications for a Tenure System position at the Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor level. We invite applicants with strong programs of research, and who have strengths in applying novel methodological or analytical approaches to their work. Area of research within Clinical Psychology/Clinical Science is open, but a successful candidate should be well-funded or have high potential for funding and have a well-developed line of basic research related to psychopathology or clinical science. Preference will be given to candidates whose research connects in some way to that of current departmental faculty or augments and extends existing programs. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate level courses clinical psychology/clinical science and mentoring of doctoral and master’s-level trainees. Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent and demonstrate their commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service, which includes a strong commitment to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. All candidates are expected to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals of diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. The appointment commences August 1, 2023. A doctoral degree is required. Postdoctoral training is desirable. Applicants must have had clinical training, be licensed or license-eligible, and pursue clinically relevant programs of research. Although UT Dallas does not currently have a doctoral training program in Clinical Psychology, we are currently developing this program. Preference will be given to candidates with the initiative and experience to contribute to program development. Reviews will commence as completed applications are received and will continue until the position is filled or the search is closed on February 1st, 2023. Priority will be given to completed applications received by December 1st, 2022.
