THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY has two openings for tenure-track Assistant Professors in Clinical and Developmental Psychology. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in clinical and developmental sciences, but we will consider individuals from other related areas for the Developmental position and we encourage varied disciplines to apply as we value interdisciplinary science. The University of Rochester is a distinguished research university, and the Department of Psychology has a strong history of excellence in psychological science with internationally renowned professors. It offers outstanding opportunities for developing a research program, highly ranked doctoral programs, a very active undergraduate major, and a collaborative environment. The department has graduate programs in Clinical, Developmental and Social-Personality Psychology. There is excellent collaboration among faculty across the different areas, and close ties to other groups in the University, particularly in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Education, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, Nursing, Pediatrics, and Engineering. The department is conveniently located across the street from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry which offers opportunities for collaborations on research, teaching and service.
