The College of Education and Psychology Department at Tennessee State University, a public, Historically Black College/University (HBCU) in Nashville, Tennessee, invite applicants for a full-time, tenure-track, academic position at the Assistant/Associate level to be part of a large and vibrant Bachelor of Science Psychology Program. While the area of concentration within Psychology is flexible (e.g., Social, Sports, Health, IO), strong candidates will demonstrate expertise in Africana Studies and/or Black Psychology, and will have experience with trauma-informed and/or culturally responsive teaching, as well as competence working with diverse and underrepresented individuals. Responsibilities to include: 1) teaching Psychology of the Black Experience and other courses (e.g., descriptive statistics), 2) advising and mentoring majors; 3) engaging in and maintaining active scholarly research; and 4) providing research mentorship to undergraduate students.
