West Liberty University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in psychology to begin in August 2022. A doctorate in psychology is preferred; Master’s level and ABD candidates will be considered. Licensed professional counselors (LPC) are not eligible for this position. Candidates should possess the credentials and experience to teach a wide range of undergraduate courses such as: Developmental Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Abnormal Psychology or other courses as needed. Additional teaching opportunities in candidate’s areas of specialization are available at the undergraduate and potentially graduate level. Candidates will be expected to teach (typically a 4/4 load), mentor and advise students, provide service to the department, college, University, community, and engage in ongoing professional development activities. Prior experience conducting research and mentoring students in research is preferred. Rank and salary will be based on the education and experiences of the successful candidate. West Liberty University is a small, public liberal arts college located in West Liberty, WV. It is eight miles from Wheeling, WV, and approximately 60 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, PA. West Liberty University has a new on campus Behavioral Health Clinic where graduate students complete their clinical practicum requirements.
