The Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall semester 2022 (August 29, 2022). We are seeking scholars specializing in the application of psychological theory and methods to understand health equity and disparities in African American, Latinx/Hispanic, and/or Native American populations. We are particularly interested in scholars whose research addresses the promotion of physical health and/or the prevention and reduction of health disparities within these populations from an equity and justice framework. Successful candidates should demonstrate in their application materials and CV an excellence (or evidence of potential excellence) in the recruitment and mentorship of African American, Latinx/Hispanic, and/or Native American undergraduate and graduate students. Required Qualifications: Terminal degree in Psychology or related field with research expertise in health outcomes, particularly health equity and disparities in African American, Latinx/Hispanic, and/or Native American populations. Able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in this area of research. Must demonstrate excellence (or evidence of potential excellence) in the recruitment and mentorship of African American, Latinx/Hispanic, and/or Native American undergraduate and graduate students.
