The Department of Psychology at Bowling Green State University invites applications for the Director of Clinical Training, a full-time, tenured position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Start date is January 2022 The primary responsibilities of the position are to: provide leadership of the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program as Director of Clinical Training, which includes maintaining APA accreditation, coordinating external student clinical placements, and working collaboratively with the Department Chair to promote inclusive excellence in training, education and research; maintain an active research program that results in publishing in peer-reviewed journals and obtaining external funding for research; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in clinical psychology; supervise Master’s and PhD student research; and provide service to the Department, College, University, and profession Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical program; scholarly record, teaching effectiveness, and record of service that meet the criteria for tenure at the Associate- or Full- level at BGSU (the department’s tenure and promotion criteria can be found at https://www.bgsu.edu/content/dam/BGSU/provost/faculty-affairs/documents/rtp-policies/approved-cba-2-rtp-psyc.pdf); and be a Licensed Psychologist who is eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in Ohio. Preferred qualifications include prior experience as a Director of Clinical Training, other leadership experience in academia, or experience as a site visitor for the APA Commission on Accreditation and research interests that align with our health psychology, clinical-community psychology, clinical child psychology, or psychology of spirituality program areas.
