ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR AND DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL TRAINING The Department of Psychology, University of Hawai’i at Manoa (Honolulu, Hawai’i) invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor position to assume the role of Director of Clinical Training in the Department’s Clinical Studies Program, a well-established, APA-accredited, scientist-practitioner Ph.D. program. This is an 11-month, full-time, permanent, tenure-track appointment as director (appointment will revert to 9-month upon end of term as Director), position number 82679, to begin August 1, 2020, subject to position clearance and availability of funds. More information about the program is available at https://psychology.manoa.hawaii.edu/clinical-psychology/ Duties: Provide academic leadership as Director of Clinical Training; conduct research; teach/mentor graduate and undergraduate students in clinical and general psychology; secure extramural funding and work with community practicum sites. Other duties as assigned by the chair. Minimum Qualifications - Associate Professor (I4): A Ph.D. in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program at an accredited college, university or foreign equivalent; minimum four (4) years of full-time college or university teaching; currently holding rank of Associate Professor level or equivalent; evidence of scholarly achievement comparable to peers at major research universities; a productive research program; demonstrated ability and skills in teaching and mentoring within a university-based clinical psychology Ph.D. program; and licensed or license-eligible in psychology in Hawai’i. Minimum Qualifications - Full Professor (I5): In addition to the minimum qualifications of the Associate Professor rank, four years of full-time college or university teaching at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent; demonstrated ability to obtain and manage extramural funding. Desirable qualifications include: Expertise in psychopathology, one or more years of successful university administration experience (such as clinical training director, department chair) and successful experience managing training or research grants.
