TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY CLINICAL/COUNSELING POSITION: The Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USC Aiken) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Clinical/Counseling Psychology to begin August 16, 2020. The position requires an earned doctorate by the time of appointment, with candidates expected to become licensed in SC. The area of specialization is open, but we are particularly interested in candidates with a child, multicultural, or veteran focus in their research and/or clinical expertise. Duties include graduate and undergraduate teaching, supervision of master’s theses, participation in the training of master’s-level practitioners, and supervision of practicum and internships. Candidates should be committed to promoting a liberal arts education through undergraduate and graduate instruction using engaged learning strategies appropriate to the discipline and level, and to developing a program of research to support master’s-level theses. The Psychology Department is MPCAC accredited and offers a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, a Master of Science degree in applied clinical psychology, and is equipped with modern laboratory, teaching, clinic, and computer facilities.
