Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) Department of Psychology/Department of Statistics University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is searching for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor of Psychology/Assistant Professor of Statistics (joint appointment) whose research interests are statistical methods in the analysis of behavior. Primary research interests can include any area of quantitative methods or quantitative modeling in the social and behavioral sciences, statistical theory and methods, quantitative psychology, data science, psychometrics, and/or biostatistics. Researchers with a secondary research program in any area of psychology will also be considered, including animal, cognitive, clinical, developmental, educational, industrial/organizational, neuroscience, personality, or social psychology. Candidates with interdisciplinary research interests are also encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive. For more information, visit Statement of Duties Successful candidates are expected to (a) establish and maintain an active and independent research program, conducting original high-quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic outlets, (b) teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and (c) provide service to the department, the university and the profession. Basic Qualifications Applicants at the assistant professor level must have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Psychology, Educational Psychology, Human Development, Biostatistics, or a related discipline by mid-June 2020 for a preferred start date of August 16, 2020. Applicants must have a promising research agenda and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
