All applicants should show evidence of a strong independent research program, a commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds, and excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching and practicum supervision. We invite applications from psychologists whose research focuses on child/adolescent clinical psychology, broadly defined. We are especially interested in applicants who use a developmental psychopathology perspective in the study of behavioral dysregulation and externalizing symptoms. We seek to build on a long-standing training focus of our clinical program to provide services to underserved populations in a culturally competent manner, as well as complement current research strengths in minoritized populations. UNCG is a Minority Serving Institution, with an undergraduate student body of 45% ethnic minority students. UNCG and the Psychology Department foster an environment of collaboration across departments and schools and support community-engaged research. UNCG is proud of the diversity of its student body and we seek to attract an equally diverse applicant pool for this position. UNCG is located in a metropolitan area of more than 1.6 million in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian mountains. We are an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/D/V employer and are strongly committed to increasing faculty diversity (http://web.uncg.edu/hrs/). Applicants must have a Ph.D. by August 1, 2020 from an APA-accredited clinical program and be licensed or license-eligible in North Carolina. We will begin reviewing applications on October 15, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
