North Carolina State University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor for its Ph.D. program in Human Factors and Applied Cognitive Psychology to begin Fall 2020. We are especially interested in individuals with a research concentration in human factors and health. Other preferred research foci include work on automation and human-robot teams. Successful candidates will have: 1) a strong record of research productivity, 2) the potential to develop an independent, externally-funded research program, and 3) a commitment to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels including courses on biological psychology. The Human Factors and Applied Cognitive Psychology program emphasizes interdisciplinary research and application of fundamental and applied research to the solution of practical problems in health, aging, transportation, human-robot interaction, and cybersecurity, and welcomes applicants contributing to these scholarly goals.
