The School of Education at the University of Michigan seeks a colleague for a tenure-track appointment (open rank) in the Combined Program in Education and Psychology (CPEP). We seek applications from a diverse pool of scholars with a strong focus on teacher practices and programs that facilitate the growth of social-emotional competencies, especially as these practices intersect with those that promote equitable schooling environments for youth of color or youth who have been marginalized in school settings. We seek a scholar who can build on their expertise to play a major role in the creation and use of scholarship in education, who has strong methodological training in quantitative and/or qualitative methods, who has the ability to teach courses in education and/or psychology, and who seeks to influence practice and policy that will improve student well-being and academic achievement. We seek an energetic and collaborative colleague who will contribute to achieving our program’s potential and vision, and who will uphold high standards for research, teaching, and service to the profession.
