The Department of Psychology at San Diego State University invites applications for a faculty position tenure-track at the level of Assistant Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience with focus in Social and Affective Neuroscience preferred. We seek candidates with expertise and scholarly research in the emerging cross-disciplinary field that focuses on the neural basis of emotional responses and the modulating influence of contextual, social, and/or cultural factors. Candidates must hold a doctorate in Psychology or allied discipline. Candidates must have a promising or established funded research program, depending on Assistant or Associate level, preferably but not limited to a focus on social and affective neuroscience. This position will complement existing department strengths in neuroscience, translational psychological science, and diversity science.
