The Department of Psychological Sciences at William & Mary seeks applications for two tenure track positions at the Assistant Professor level in Clinical Psychology beginning August 10, 2020. Located in historic Williamsburg, Virginia and close to metropolitan areas such as Richmond, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach, William & Mary consistently ranks among the top ten public universities nationally. While the position is open to applicants with a range of research interests, the ability to complement and expand the current strengths of Psychological Sciences faculty is essential. The candidate is expected to maintain a productive research program that inspires exceptional undergraduate and pre-doctoral Masters students and that has the potential to yield external funding. Teaching expectation is 2 courses per semester. Successful applicants must possess the skills to teach clinically-relevant courses that contribute to both the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology at the time of appointment August 10, 2020. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree, have completed an internship from an APA-accredited program, and be licensed or license-eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia. ABD candidates will be considered for the rank of assistant professor, but an earned doctoral degree is expected by the August 10, 2020 start date. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. at time of application. William & Mary is especially interested in candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and mentorship of students, to the diversity of the academic community. Experience teaching and in mentoring student research is preferred. The potential to obtain extramural funding is desirable.
