The Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position that explores the psychosocial, contextual and behavioral factors associated with sexual health. We are open with respect to particular area of expertise, but examples include: gender, cultural, or racial/ethnic factors that may affect risk-taking or other behaviors that lead to, or impact prevention, treatment, and progression of STDs/HIV; personality, family, life stage or social network factors associated with sexual risk or decision-making; coping styles, personality and contextual predictors of coping strategies for STDs/HIV; psychosocial consequences of STDs/HIV for the individual, family, and community. We are particularly interested in individuals who are attracted to working within a multi-disciplinary environment.
